Route description
This is a great tour around the peninsula of Cap de Creus. We will stroll along the cliffs modelled by the North Wind known as the‘Tramuntana’ and we will visit villages such as Llançà, Port de la Selva and Cadaqués, that have been able to incorporate tourist development without losing their charm. We will start the journey in the city of Figueres, the capital of this area, where the Dali Museum located. We will visit the Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes, on the bay of Port de la Selva, considered the most important building of the medieval period in Catalonia. We will arrive at the village of Port Lligat, with Salvador Dalí’s house, and then visit Cadaqués, the most popular bohemian village of the Costa Brava with the biggest natural port in Catalonia. Next stop will be the town of Roses and, after that, the monumental Castelló d’Empúries. L’Escala is another great village where we will stop to eat anchovies.
